On Tuesday, Apple has released the fifth and latest update for the iDevices which is iOS 9.2.1 and it is the first update of 2016. Unlike its previous update of 9.2 version which came up with application and tools like Apple Music, Mail etc well this update basically focuses on the security bugs and improvements which deliver bugs fixes to your idevices software.

The major improvement given by this update is the Websheet, it is basically is security fix which has been found three years ago but now fixed, but now it can. This bug basically affected how iOS handled cookies — bits of data that remember a user — at captive portals, like the page to log into a hotel’s Wi-Fi. For this Apple has created a cookie store where it can fix these sorts of captive portals.
Apple iOS 9.2.1 Latest Update: What is Not included?
The major disappointment for the Apple users with this update is that it doesn’t provide the fix for battery issue in which the battery freezes at a certain percentage and doesn’t go up and down.
There is a temporary fix for this issues which is
- Restart your iPhone.
- Go to Settings > General > Date & Time and make sure that Set Automatically is turned on.
- If this happens again and you didn’t change the time or time zone on your device, You can also contact Apple Support for this.
The update 9.2.1 basically states, “This update contains security updates and bug fixes including a fix for an issue that could prevent the completion of app installation when using an MDM(Mobile Device Management) server”.
The next update from Apple which is 9.3 basically includes the advance feature of Night-Shift which attempts to let users sleep better by changing the colors of light emitted by the device screen and also with a Classroom app which is for the Education purpose only.
